It seems there is an App for everything these days, it is difficult to find the ones you will really use without filling up your phone. Here are a few of travel Apps I always have on my phone:
If departing from Brisbane Airport, this App is a must. The best part about this App is the International Departure Card option; fill out the card on the App for all the family prior to departure, scan the bar code at the kiosk situated at the top of the escalators. It will print out each departure card, all you have to do is sign. No more trying to find a pen and pulling out passports before going through immigration, and it stores your details for next time.
You can register your trip, view arrival and departure times, book parking, find shops, restaurants and more.
TripWhistle Global SOS
There are over 70 different emergency numbers in over 190 countries, This App supplies you all the International Emergency Phone Numbers and option to share your Coordinates and Address to the emergency services. This is very helpful if you are not sure what street you are in or address of the hotel.
Updated travel advice and notification, checklists and tips on insurance and travel.
Great for visiting new cities, it will give maps, things to do, destination guides, and items of interest ‘near me now’.
Master Itinerary, it allows you to input all your travel plans in one place, imports to your calendar, share with family and remembers your travel profile.
Information on Airports, This App gives simple Terminal maps, locations of amenities and tips written by those using the airport – including updated delays through security.
Gives advice on the best seats for certain airlines and flights.
This locates restaurants near you with choice of cuisines and opening times. Select a restaurant or cuisine and you can book directly through the App.
Very helpful when out and about, especially with little ones.
Of course there are many apps for translation, flight plans, trip planning, maps and almost any other item you may need help with. Chose the one you like the best and enjoy your holiday.
